i looked at the LED macbook pro at compusa under florescent lighting, and i could not see a discernible difference. yes it was brighter, but that is not necessarily a good thing for properly editing photos. i was more interested in your 'personal' impression of how it displays (renders) color, ie is the color 'noticeably' richer to 'you'? it wasn't richer to me, but i work on a 20" cinema display. how an image behaves within an application, redraws etc., is a function of the video card which are generally adequate. why i ask, is that i'm in need of a laptop and the macbook satisfies my meager requirements. i am supposing that the LED monitor will filter down to the macbook in the next product cycle. battery life is not a concern, and it's not apparent to me that there is any compelling reason to wait. and of course, i will never be kewl. best...jf
