You can track down an older copy of Adobe Pagemaker - it's been replaced in the Adobe line by InDesign so there should be people out there with surplus copies of Pagemaker they're looking to part with (start with eBay, I pulled up about a dozen listings by searching pagemaker mac, 7.0 was the last version). It's less elegant than InDesign or Quark Xpress but should be far less expensive to acquire, and unlike Publisher, commercial printing houses will accept Pagemaker files for production.
