numbers is a consumer 'home user' software. it's is not scriptable in  
this version, nor comparable to true spreadsheet applications.  
numbers will probably be fully functional in iwork 10, two years from  
now :)
i use [1] mariner calc.

as usual in iapps, the graphic capability of numbers exceed it's  
functionality, and that's just fine for what it's supposed to be. i  
will have a hands on review of iwork 08 in september access, and  
Jonathan is having me up to demo iwork 08 for the september usergroup  
meeting. best...jf
