Subject: [MacGroup] Typing Statistical Symbols

I am having a hard time typing some statical symbols in programs such as
pages, keynote and MS word.

specifially, I am trying to type the statistical symbol for mean, also
known as X-Bar. it is basically an upper case X with a flat line over
it.

i'm used to using character palette for my french symbols, but can't
seem to figure out how to do statistical ones.

anyone know an easy way to get this? thanks.

rick
