Stuart, Johathan, thanks for the suggestions. I have a question  
though. It's hard to tell from the pictures how minimal these bags  
really are. The VMWare bag has a "large file storage pocket" in  
addition to the laptop pocket. The Megamacs bag seems more minimal.

I'm looking for a minimal bag. If I have papers to carry, I use a  
backpack with a laptop slot. I also own a briefcase with a laptop  
slot. What I want is a small and rugged bag that holds the laptop and  
a few small, necessary accessories. The Kensington Simply Portable  
One [1] and the Ogio Brain Bucket [2] and Brain Bucket Mini [3] look  
interesting.
