Rick: If I understand the article correctly, you might not be able to open that one. According to FILExt, the .pptm might be more of a .exe file.
The PPTM extension is for Power Point with Macros enabled and "is a combination of XML architechture and ZIP compression for file reduction." It further says that MS promised it to be an open format and backward compatible but reading the system and general info it may be backward compatible only with Windows. Here's the full article: http://filext.com/file-extension/PPTM If your wife is using Windows at the school, maybe she should try to install it on her computer there then export it as a plain .ppt file. rob b3studios wrote: >Is there any way to open .pptm files on a mac? >My wife has downloaded one for her class and can't open it. >I am assuming it is a new file format with Office 2007 PowerPoint. > >I've tried Office for Mac:2004, NeoOffice, and iWork '08 which is >supposes to be able to handle Office 2007 files... > >any suggestions? > >Rick > > > >_______________________________________________ >The next Louisville Computer Society meeting will >be September 25 at MacAuthority, 128 Breckinridge Lane. >Posting address: MacGroup at erdos.math.louisville.edu >Information: http://www.math.louisville.edu/mailman/listinfo/macgroup > > > > >
