I tossed the preferences. Didn't work. Restarted. Didn't work. I repair permissions every couple weeks, and did it again. Didn't work.
Strange thing. Default is helvetica 12, but no matter how I set it, everything opens in arial 12. There's got to be a reason, but I sure can't figure it out.
