Marta was having so much fun with her iPhone I decided to buy one. However I guess I will be taking it back to the store because in order to activate it you have to give AT & T your social security number and I am very reluctant to do so. Especially when I don't really see any reason for them to have it. I called AT & T and the first operator said there was no other way, but then she said that there was a prepay plan, would I be willing to use that. That is exactly what I wanted. In fact I would be willing to prepay the whole two years. So she connected me with the operator who handles prepay. Guess what? You have to give them your social security number and fail the credit check before you can prepay!
