yes, if you click on application's dock icon it will open in it's  
assigned space with a trick effect. as before, you can navigate open  
applications with cmd + tab, which will open the selected application  
in a space.

no, holding shift while clicking on an applications dock icon does not  
slow the opening effect. it must be only a trick folder effect.

spaces are virtual desktops. the benefit to me is leaving application  
files open, yet have a clean desktop workspace available?i no longer  
have to close documents to get to a clean desktop. i can leave ical  
open full screen in it's own space.

control + number reveals work spaces 1-9. best...jf
