yesterday was ya intensive work session with 12-15 open applications in (9) spaces.
on three occasions i had to relaunch the finder, then logout to restore my system. nothing crashed, but finder would not reveal any open files. while i didn't loose any work (i save often) the upshot is that spaces in it's current iteration will not withstand heavy workloads. i had previously noticed glitches which i attributed to user error. i have now set only two set spaces: finder and (3) internet applications, but may have to ditch it altogether as any productivity gains are lost by relaunching the system and opening files. my powerpc chip may have an effect, but i did not have a problem with similar workflows in tigger. on another topic.
