Did anyone else purchase the two laptops from the "One Laptop Per Child" program - one for a child in a developing country and one for yourself?
I got one for my 6 year old grandson, but I can't get it to do anything! There are all kinds of pages to read on the internet (no directions were enclosed), but I am spoiled with the mac simplicity. I thought I'd be able to access games for him, but evidently games can't be played unless the internet is accessed, and it's not. I can supposedly use an ethernet connection, or I may just find a wireless internet somewhere. Hopefully it can be used without internet once something is downloaded. But in the meantime, I'd sell it if someone was interested. It's not at all what I expected. Maybe it'll grow on me once I access internet. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. Thanks.
