15" MBP 2.4 GHz (late 2007) OS X 10.5.2 (current)
1. the keyboard ambient light sensor appears to have stopped working. i reset the SMC, but the keyboard sensor still does not work, even in a completely dark room with the screen dimmed off. (me and my MBP in the dark, wife says what you doing in the dark fool? testing :)
could the sensor be covered with dust, grime, or debris?i installed [1] labtick which allows manual control of the keyboard backlight, including brightness adjustment. possibly labtick makes more sense for battery usage.
