iwork 08' pages has handled most everything i've thrown at it. lots of clicking, has it's idiosyncrasies, does a pretty fair job if you use lots of grids for alignment, gutters etc. when opening a new blank page layout > then file > page setup > select landscape view to flip to horizontal. export as a pdf for a number of options for printing. best...jf

I am putting a memory book together for my dad's 80th b'day. I started making a book through iPhoto, but soon realzed, even though I like the look, the stock templates were not letting me put in large quantities of text and resize photos. Kind of like putting a square peg in a round hole. Any ideas as to how I can make a quality book (mostly text) without spending a fortune?

Help appreciated,
Stuart
