How in the world did you get the attachments passed the filter? I have had many things I wanted to send the group but after being shut down on a few I quit trying. This is really cool, you must have a free pass from Lee?
The actual details on what gets zapped are as follows:(1) The message is scanned for spam with a very low threshold to make sure none gets through. The list gets several hundred spams every day and it's a very rare occurrence that one gets posted.
(2) It is parsed for viruses.(3) The three message types allowed through are multipart/mixed, multipart/alternative and text/plain.
(4) Messages with attachments of the types exe, bat, cmd, com, pif, scr, vbs and cpl are tossed. This will allow attachments such as digital signatures and small graphics.
However, all graphics attachments are discouraged because they do not make it into the digest and about a fifth of the subscribers get the digested form of the list.
