Paul,

That is probably an iMac DV SE. My recommendation is to put 10.4  
"Tiger" on it. It works pretty well with the g3 iMacs, especially the  
faster ones. I have several of those around my house. You can find out  
a lot about upgrading it at Low End Mac:

There is also a boat-load of links on that page to all kinds of  
interesting resources and articles related (sometimes quite tenuously,  
I'll admit) to that computer.

You can get Tiger disks quite a few places. Ebay is even a good place,  
if you're careful.

You can Google "Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger" to find a variety of places to  
look.
