One program I use is Little snitch It will tell you when a program or
website wants to access the internet and you can deny it from doing so.
This let's me know if a web page is requesting to perform an action and
I can deny it from doing so.

It lets me know if something fishing is going on that a user would not
necessarily know is happening.

Subject: [MacGroup] Best Sypware

I just read the Consumer report on virus protection, spyware problems
etc. etc. They never cover the Mac well but they did mention that a
vulnerability to the Mac is spyware, that the Mac users are blase and
unconcerned when in fact Safari has no built in protection for spyware.

So today I get an email from Smithmicro for their Internet Cleanup 5
software that seemingly does one thing, looks for spyware.

Is this a good program, anyone use it, what do you recommend to handle
this problem other than

Many thanks.

John
