well, my wife is in her second year of professional school and her macbook has been acting up quite a bit lately.
battery only lasting like 40min sometimes after a full overnight charge, other times it lasts longer but cuts out at 1/2 charge with no low battery warning, when sleeping with the lid closed it will constantly "wake up" (you can hear the drive access and see the apple logo light up) repeatedly over and over every few seconds, bluetooth mysteriously disappears at times (as it it's recognized in system profiler), etc... It's a few years old and still under apple care, so it's just a matter of sending it in for repairs/replacement i suppose. Of course she can't be without her laptop while in class so we've been trying to wait it out until apple releases a new MBP (because I'm in the market) so that she can use my current machine while hers is being repaired. Yesterday was finally too much, and I've been thinking that a Macbook Air would be perfect for her needs (as she complains about the weight of her school bag now), so I bit the bullet and ordered her an Air last night. does anyone on list have one, and if so, what are your impressions/ likes/dislikes?
