Mac iBook 800-14" (iBook G3? G4?-I book - But pretty sure it's a G4) .
I purchased this iBook in December 2002. A couple of years later I purchased a Mac Book and the iBook just sat on my shelf (plugged in). Earlier this year I lent it to friend and while he was using it the logic board went out (that's the opinion of the folks at the Mac Authority). The iBook would boot up and the image on the monitor would go in and out, eventually the computer wouldn't even boot. I have taken the computer apart to remove the hard drive so I could zero out the drive in preparation for selling the pieces or the whole thing. Here is a list of the component parts: 1. 80gb ultra ATA Seagate 2.5" hard drive 2. An Apple (original) Airport Card (dated 1999) 3. 512 mb ram card (labeled "Kingston Technology - KTA-PBG4/512) (I guess that means it's a G4 iBook) (A printout I have says the machine has 640 mb of memory so I guess there is 128 mb of onboard memory). 4. Toshiba CDRW/DVD drive 5. S-Video, VGA Composite Video Adapter for iBook 6. Apple VGA display adapter (Apple video to VGA) 7. 14" white ibook G4 keyboard I can put the machine together and sell the whole thing or I will part it out. I've looked on EBay and the whole thing is going for around $175. 1) drive is going for up to $50 2) Airport card is going for up to $40 3) Ram is going for up to $45 4) CDRW/DVD drive is going for up to $40 5) S-video is going for up to $10 6) VGA display is going for up to $16 7) keyboard - up to $32 I am offering this on the list serve and Craig's list before I try and sell it on eBay. If interested, contact me off listserve.
