I suppose this to be correct. I still have the iPhone with Edge, but
then now at home my wifi is on and mail is not the problem, but AT&T
is still giving me no phone service at all.
And where is there a phone number to call to find out how long it
might be?
Our electricity is on again, so I can make phone calls fro my home
phone, actually was able to do so yesterday, too, since my old old
heavy black phone is still connected, which does not need
electricity. My husband's cell works,it is on Tmobile.

I'm willing to bet that the weather yesterday played a role in the
'no service' problems.
My Sprint service was in and out all day yesterday, and several of
my co-workers are still having issues with AT&T service.

My daughter has the edge version iPhone, and she had that problem
yesterday. Not sure if she still is. Have you tried re-booting it?
