I wrote this group about 8 months ago after purchasing FileMaker's new file organizer, Bento. I sang it's praises as did many of the publications who reviewed it. It was very stylish and it did help me organize some calendars and address books. After using it, I started to realize it wasn't a 'junior' FileMaker for the Mac, and I used it less and less. To be honest, I had hoped it would offer a good replacement for my AppleWorks database files. However, they said it wouldn't convert Appleworks DB files, but they were working on it. I figured my $49.00 would pay off someday. Today, FileMaker released Bento Two, and yes, it converts those old DB files. But, guess what. Less than a year after releasing of Bento, they now want another $49.00 for Bento Two. Yeech! I hope no one read my earlier post and bought Bento. I'm sorry I did. Now I understand the name, short for BentOver. The price of early adopters. Bill M.
