Just over 2 years ago, I bought a new MacBook soon after the death of
my old iBook. Life was good. How fast where things. So much more
ram and a bigger hard drive. But not all of this would last. Soon I
experienced the dreaded dead battery. That was followed by another
and yet another. After three my power manager was replaced. A few
months ago I noticed a strange red light coming from my headphone
jack. I thought maybe El Diablo had taken up residence inside. But
was relieved to find out that he had not moved in, although it would
explain how I have suddenly seen an increase in both porn and viagra
offers in my inbox. But no, it was the logic board on its way out.
Just to be nice, the guys at our local Mac Store felt like I needed to
have new speakers and a new top cover. A short time passed and after
several freeze ups a new hard drive took up residence where the old
one had been. Time Machine was a life saver as it took me back
exactly where I had been only a few days before. But, alas, all was
not well. The computer would randomly reboot or simply freeze and no
work except holding the power down would result an anything. Back to
the mac store after a phone call to Apple Care. This time my Mac was
to take a trip I could not follow. But at the same time, my Samsung
began to sing the "Under Pants Nome Song" from South Park. On the
other end of the radio signal was a young lady from Steve Jobs office
which wanted to know what she could do to fix this issue. The result
is a brand new white lap top with a glowing apple on the back.

A short story to say, Apple Care is great and a company that stands
behind their product is worth their collective weight in gold!
