We have a digital tv, an analog vcr, a digital to analog converter box, and an antenna on the roof (ie., no cable or satellite service and don't want it).
Currently my wife records programs on the vcr to watch while she rides an exercise bike. After the digital revolution (Feb. 17, when tv stations start broadcasting only digitally) my wife will have to set the converter box to whatever channel she wants to record and then set up the vcr to record channel 4 (the output channel of the converter box) at the time she wants to record. If she wants to record two programs on different stations back to back (say one at 8 pm on channel 11 and a second at 9 pm on channel 15) she will have to change the channel on the converter box from 11 to 15 manually at the appropriate time. How messed up is this? Question, are there any vcrs out there with digital tuners so we can bypass the converter box?
