I have just encountered a problem with Apple's Pages (part of iWork).
Out of the blue, it worked fine this morning and I have not downloaded
anything since then, none of my Pages documents will open. I keep
getting a message that "Pages quit unexpectedly. The problem may have
been caused by the Sonix SN9C201 WebCam plugin."
I used Spotlight to search for Sonix. All I got were references to two
Pages documents (information on other software; not any sort of
application or other type of software. I don't have a WebCam unless
the built in one on my iMac counts as one.
A search on Apple.com came up with "About 77 results found for
Sonix". All seem to be related to iTunes music (labels?). "0 results
found for "problems with Sonix,'" same with "Sonix WebCam" and "Sonix
SN9C201."
Google came up with one mention of the same problem on
Apple.com>Support>Discussion>iWork '08>Pages '08. However there were
no replies or answers. And that problem was back in April 2007
Maybe I need to upgrade to iWork '09; it's on my table in its box.
Just haven't gotten around to it. And I hate to install the new
version until I find out about this problem.
Any suggestions?
One other "strange" thing" I've noticed for some time on my iMac, the
Get Info" on most anything I check says created
"Some date" 8:31 PM, ditto for last opened, and last modified; all at
8:31 PM. The clock on my computer is keeping time correctly. what's
with 8:31 PM?
