My boycott is working fine..... I don't have to deal with ATT...

I read this thread to my wife and she responded,

"We all laugh in your general direction! Because we all have iPhones!"

She's the kind of person that would put a bumper sticker on her car that says, "I will give up my iPhone when they unwrap my cold dead fingers from it."

BTW, faulting AT&T for requiring a data plan with the iPhone is a non- starter, since there is so much on the phone that requires it. If you want a media player, get a Touch. If you want to use the best personal communication/computing/direction-finding/entertainment device in history, then you have to deal with AT&T.

It's totally a no-brainer for me.

Sorry about your experience with AT&T, though. Mine was with Sprint. I never dealt with Verizon because I didn't want a phone whose main feature was to bore you to sleep. It was so bad that I actually bought a Windows Mobile phone once. Now THAT is hard up. After that hell I named my first iPhone "IceWater" after the famous Steve Jobs remark. [1]
