This is to be expected.

Nothing to point to specifically, but I know that some users are
worried about it. Of course I think that most of it is fears of
Apple abandoning the pro photography market because of Lightroom's
rise to prominence.
Personally (and mostly because I just switched back over to
Aperture) I hope that the new version will debut with or after Snow
Leopard utilizing some of the advances with that OS.
Additionally, I think that the lack of an Aperture announcement
along side the other Pro Apps a few weeks ago has some folk worried.

From Adobe:
Apple recently announced that future versions of its operating
system will not support the PowerPC® platform. What are Adobe's
plans to support the PowerPC platform for the Creative Suite
family of products?
Adobe intends for future versions of the Creative Suite range of
products to run on Intel based Macs with no support for their
installation on PowerPC systems
