It's always possible, Rob, that some sort of file corruption has
occurred with rejection of your admin password being the
unpredictable result of this occasion. But it ain't likely. You
might be able to use your backups to document when the "corruption"
occurred. If so, perhaps Mr. Disgruntled would try his admin access,
if told of the timing "coincidence," assuming he's smart enough to
consider the possible legal consequences.
Now, if the access you are currently denied is to the admin control
panel, rather than access to a particular file or group of files,
then you can de-install FM-server and re-install it with a new password.

BTW: I know Jonathan has mentioned it here before, but the new FMUG
may be of interest to you. Shared experiences and all that ...

Besides a disgruntled employee, is there any reason an FM database
will stop accepting a password?
Suddenly only a few people in the office can connect to the database.
None of the admin passwords work.
And yes, there is a disgruntle employee out there who had admin
access, but I'm trying to cover any other bases before I start
accusing anyone.
I've got a small utility that lets me change passwords on the files
but It's a shareware file and I'm not sure if it actually works. I'd
rather not shell out the $30 just to find out it only works up to 6 or
7. We're on 8.5.
Thanks,
