Marta, a lot of the attachments depend on the mail server you send from, and the one the email is arriving at. Some are no more than 3 Mb, for email accounts such as hotmail, google mail, yahoo, and other similar web-based email accounts. Some accounts, although most are not used now, that run off of PINE, will not accept any attachments at all, as they run a 7-bit mail server. The rule of thumb i use is nothing over 3 Mb attachment per email. AOL email is the only mail server i am aware of that allows up to 16 Mb attachments, IF its sent from one AOL email account to another AOL email account, other then that, they limit to 3 Mb.
