Suzanne, I have a lampshade Mac which served me well from about 2003 until last year, when the mother board went out. I still keep it around, because the HD is good, and from time to time I discover that there's a file on the lampshade that I want to transfer to one of my new Macs (via Firewire}. I seem to recall a means of getting the drawer open, and if I weren't suffering at the moment from the nearest thing to swine flu you can get, I'd go check. (This is being done flat on my back on a new IBook, mounted on an AirDesk. Don't think it's actually swine flu; maybe it's "wine flu," from New Year's -- but I didn't imbibe that much, and it's been three days ago. Whatever is, you can see had it's addlepated my brain
