Ann,
In addition to the Cable company I still use Aye.net (win.net now or
digicove) just in case I would have to use dial up. I also have the
DSL line with AT&T and the only other possible safety net would be
getting a satellite system. I have a major need to be connected.
The ISP service of win.net is 20.00 per month, 21.00 if you want their
filtering system (which is fantastic) but you certainly don't want
dial up. Win.net has DSL options as well and I don't know the cost.

Having read the messages about Insight, etc. I thought now might be
a good time to ask my question.
What are the possible ISP (Internet Service Providers) in the
Louisville area? (I'm actually in Oldham Co. (Buckner) but
Louisville information should help me decide. Right now I'm just
looking at possible ISP options. Then I might see if it's worth it
to go with my cable TV service (my husband's; I don't watch TV) and/
or phone service.
Right now I am paying $140 for Cable TV, Phone and ISP. All separate
companies. Doesn't look like the bundle would save me much. And I
don't the nuisance of having to change my email address.
Thanks for your suggestions.
