I suggest you shouldn't do this. The utility to fix permissions reads the 
permissions from a database maintained by the installers of the various 
components. As your system is upgraded, the upgrade installers sometimes update 
permissions to be different from those on the install DVD. When you repair 
permissions off the install DVD, the permissions are set back to the pre-update 
status. If the updaters had fixed permission problems from the original 
install, running from the DVD unfixes the fix.
