I tried the powerline telephones and had noise on the line. But the Ethernet has just worked out great. Wi-Fi is great but moving video around takes time. Now I just need to get a spare receiver so I can hook up the MacBook Pro in the living room for time machine back ups.

I totally forgot about the powerline ethernet adapters. They are great and I have used them for clients. They sometimes will work in parts of your house and not other parts, though. It has to do with the way the breaker box is wired. When you are on the same "circuit" they will work great. j.
