Chrome and Safari are very similar in what they can do because they are both based on the Webkit engine. Apple just upgraded Webkit with the new Safari upgrade, so I expect there to be a Chrome update soon to take advantage of it. (Just as there was an upgrade to Safari when Google made some additions to Webkit.) I use Chrome because I want a browser that works the same under Linux and Mac OS. Firefox would be another choice. It uses the Mozilla engine, so it renders basically the same as Camino and Seamonkey. I find all the Mozilla browsers to be sort of clumsy. I do use Firefox when I must display MathML because none of the other browsers support it.
