I undoubtedly did blame Adobe Flash Player too quickly, because getting rid of it fixed the problem immediately. I'd also seen lots of reports of conflicts limited to Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and Safari 5 (because they disappear in Firefox). Of course, I also have add-ins for blocking ads in Safari (PithHelmet) [1], but these cannot be the problem, because Firefox has the same dropouts. It could also be because I use ClickToFlash [2] to keep the typically ADD-inducing Flash content from displaying on sites until I ask for it. Whatever the reason, my system is now just fine, again. > I did discover something else annoying about MLB.com a couple of weeks ago. Bandwidth is probably the reason, but there could be some more cynical ones: Maybe they don't want people clowning for the camera, though I suspect that the delay would be long enough to stop that. Or...they don't want people watching the current game at the ballpark to see replays of blown calls or watch the catcher's signals without binoculars [3], or watch the game in the mezzanine without watching the hometeam's ads for food.
