Tom, the new model is great it just a big upgrade for me from the 3g model while in line Thursday there where a lot of original iPhone owners waiting to get their hands on the new model I am sure it will be a big upgrade for them too. Screen great real real clear. Snappy operation of all functions I can now see all the cool transitions again from one app to another that the iPhone has I lost that with the 3.1.3 update. Restore from back up worked like a charm just had to move my music from the old iPhone using Phoneview as I didn't have some of the songs still in my main iTunes library and was lazy and just wanted to copy to a folder the back on to the new iPhone which worked away without my attention. Only setting that did not move was my MobileMe account password but there was a notification that popped up telling me to go to my settings and type it in. I then spend 20 minutes moving all my app's into folders and naming the folders based on What I wanted to call the folder. While you can use the default tile I used what I wanted to call The folder. Example all my art app's are in Art App's not "entertainment". So I went from 9 pages of app's to two with the first screen just holding the Main daily app's and folder and everything else on the second page. Problem's nothing not Reception issue or yellow spots or what other crazy problem all the websites that feed off the whole I hate Apple but love "ad pageviews" world which the web has become as Apple has stepped up it's game and is putting out great products that people love to use. The only negative was that they didn't have enough new iPhones for all the people who wanted to buy one Thursday. I waited in line for 2 hours and the line moved smoothly. When I reached the front of the line there where people who could not get thru on the 15th to pre order who had been their for 14 hours and still had not been able to get their iPhone. Apple sold 1.5 million iPhones Thursday but they could have sold 5 million units on Thursday if there was some way for them to do it by changing time an space. A tip to the hat to all the great Apple store employee's They worked real hard most working from 7 am till closing Thursday. As some know my daughter works at the store and she worked from 11pm till 7am then came back at 5pm till closing but was real excited about helping users get there new iPhones. Great job to all the guys and gals working at the Apple Store I know it was hard work but the buzz kept you going.
