I love lots of treble ! Flutes and high boys' voices etc etc etc , --- remember Yul Brynner in" The King and I ?" with all those etceteras?

I just had to say something, since what you have been talking about is for me a book with seven seals.

Bill,

I had the noise cancelling Shure ear buds, but kept getting ear infections with them and the doc said to use headphones. I don't mind the battery. I always carry plenty in my purse. Usually the ipod wears down before the batteries do. I am amazed by the sound in both. I was also amazed by the quality of the music from my Macbook Pro. I did put it on bass boost. I love lots of bass.

So I just tried them on my MacBook Pro. I couldn't believe the great sound that comes through them on the MacBook Pro. The newer Bose 15 headphones have improved on the noise reduction. I won't travel on an airplane anymore without them! Now I can baby-sit in peace too!

FWIW: My faves are Shure's... they aren't noise canceling, but are noise-reducing, because they work by having buds which fill the ear canal. The nice thing is that they are passive, i.e. do not require a battery, and do not need to be taken out during takeoff and landing.
