First, Mac market share rising and big quarter in sales of all products.
Wow as a long time Apple user it is amazing how sales have grown. Every time I
go to Oxmoor and enter the Apple store I am surprised at the number of people
in the store buying Mac's. Looking back on the days of Mactown and being the
only user in the store and having Ward's complete attention when dealing with a
problem or a sale it seems like a long time ago.

Next OSX Lion what they showed was more UI changes and actual under the hood
stuff as this was stuff that was easy to change.
It shows the future of how Desktop and Mobile devices will have similar UI's
and interaction. This will make it easy for the user to switch from
Mobile to Desktop now if they can get syncing working well between the two it
will give us the user a seamless experience.

Mac app store this has been a long time in coming I remember several years ago
developers where on Apple to do something to make installation of app's and
updates more tied into the software update application . With the advent of the
iPhone App store an its success Apple found the model they were looking for.
With the user still being able to load app's from the internet as well as
Disk's this will be a welcome addition for users to find that piece of
software they need. It will be interesting to see if Adobe will sell thru the
store and if the cost will be less due to better security at the OS level.

All of this started with the iPod and OSX and the merging of both into the
iPhone.

Hi, guys, what did you think of yesterday's event? Haven't heard from any of
you. I thought you all had some remarks to bring to the group.
