My daughter has a new iMac and is trying to migrate her data from her old iMac using Migration Assistant. However, she is unable to get the old iMac (it's not that old, it has an Intel processor) to boot into target mode. She has tried it numerous times, from both a restart and a full shutdown. She is holding down the "t" key each time as it starts, but the computer boots normally into Mac OS, seeming not to recognize the "t" key startup at all.
