Marta, there are a lot of notes and word processing apps available for the 
iPad. Apple's Pages is a pretty full-featured word processor, and there are a 
variety of note-taking apps that do or do not have printing. Here's an article 
about a couple simple writing apps that might appeal to you (one is even free):

It doesn't print but it syncs back to your Mac instantly via DropBox. You can 
open your message there and print it with TextEdit.

You can copy text from web pages and paste it into your documents as you can in 
pretty much any iOS app. I won't let you copy images, though.

It's minimal, but it's free.
