Same in Indiana and on the T.V. side as well. Many stations are not available, then they are then they aren't.
AT&T's U-Serve sounds good on paper but you have to be so close to a central station or a substation. I had ordered it as their map showed I was eligible. The Substation is 3/4 a mile from me, across a 4 lane highway. Going to the box is fiber but when they tunneled under the highway the crazy engineers put copper, how stupid. So I am just a few feet from having a strong enough signal, had they put fiber under the highway I could be using it now. AT&T says they have a technology that will allow the doubling of the distance, they have been saying this for the past 6 months. Every so often I stop by their main store and I get the same answer, NOT YET. So until this happens I don't know of an alternative and even at a doubling of the distance that still is going to leave so many without a choice. John On May 20, 2011, at 1:35 AM, J.
