You might ask her.

A few months ago we sold my brother-in-law our old Macbook. The only people

He called yesterday because the history in Safari showed a bunch of adult
websites. His wife claims that she didn't visit them. I've never had a problem
with any of my machines doing this, but I'm not sure what the most current
virus/malware situation is. I know that his wife uses Facebook a lot and is
always doing those quizzes and apps and such on there. Is it possible that one
of those could have done something with Safari to make all these sites show up
in the browser history?
They don't try and download music or application or anything that I'm aware of.
At first I thought perhaps she had been visiting the sites and just not wanting
to tell him, but he showed me the browser history and it is a LOT of different
webpages going back for a few days.

Any thoughts? Has their Mac been compromised or does she just not want to fess
up? ;)

Rick
