Just in case anyone uses or is interested in NIK software here is there reply
to my two questions. Seems it will be a couple months before it is ready for
Lion and it is a plugin for Aperture.

John

Thank you for contacting Nik Software. Currently there are known issues with
our software installing into Lion. Our engineers are working at getting this
resolved, but as it means rewriting the installers for all of our plug-ins, it
will take a few weeks for all the software to be updated.

Yes, our software runs in Aperture. It also works in Photoshop and Lightroom,
if you have either of those.
