This read later feature is the primitive function of Instapaper . Sort of like 
Safari's feature of RSS and Mail's RSS basic and not very advanced.

Lee, do you think the ability in Safari 5.1 to "save for reading later" is the 
first step to having Apple's products do the same as Instapaper.  Once iCloud 
is in place it would it not make sense for Apple to store these saved files to 
the cloud then we could access the files from any of our devices whenever we 
wished?

That is very interesting Lee, especially since Safari on the iPhone and iPad 
don't have the ability to read articles you have saved from your Mac.

That's why I started using it. I can switch between Mac, iPad, Linux, ... and 
keep my "read later" list constant on all the machines.
