Don't know how long it takes Yahoo (Bellsouth webmail) to permanently delete
mail out of the trash can. I've not seen a setting for it but there definitely
is one for the Spam folder being emptied.
I let my trash sit there till they delete it just in case I have to go back in
there and pull something out but if you have trashed something that you never
opened, it shows up as a number to the right of the trash can icon and the word
"Trash". Currently, the trash I have only goes back to yesterday so it must
have been dumped automatically in the past 36 hours or so.
Have a good holiday weekend Harry!

I have a bellsouth email address. Bellsouth's webmail is actually Yahoo. I use
a powermail (a 3rd party mail program) to check my mail. Periodically I have to
log on to web mail to check my spam folder to make sure yahoo is letting all my
mail through. I usually find one or two emails that yahoo thinks is spam but
are legitimate emails.

A couple of weeks ago I logged on to Yahoo to check my bellsouth email and
discovered that yahoo wasn't completely deleting my mail. I found 50 or so
messages that I had downloaded in the trash folder in my webmail acct. I double
checked my settings in powermail and everything is as it should be. Is anyone
else having this problem with their bellsouth web mail?

TIA.

Harry
