Yes just like the iPad with the lock button and home button pressed at the same time. Now this is a way to do it but there is no way to turn off the input of the finger on the phone screen. How would one undo this since the touch input is removed.
What should be used is a shopping program to do this kind of work. I use http://www.groceryiq.com/ for the iPhone to do shopping list's as you can maintain a list of grocery items that the tap to add them to Your shopping list. You can then have the items arranged by how you go thru the store. Wife has it on her iPhone and add's to the list if she needs on use the app on her iPhone too. You can scan in items with the camera using the bar code of the item. I've done that often with the iPad, for example when needing a map, but not sure if I'll have a wireless connection. Does the iPhone take screen shots?
