I recently shopped a better camera, but did not want to mess with interchangeable lenses.

Last year I bought and returned a "super zoom". Read my sad story here: <http://www.shopping.com/fujifilm-s2940/camera-looks-good-pictures-look-bad/87021912/reviews~linkin_id-8060671 >.

I narrowed the field down to Canon G-12, Canon S95, Canon SX230, Nikon P7000, Lumix LDMC-X-5. Here is a good place to start; <http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/canon-powershot-g12/4505-6501_7-34176638-2.html?tag=mncol;rvwBody >.

The LX-5 has a f2 Leica lens and a hot shoe, which I wanted for bouncing the flash. I do not understand what happens with slave bounce flashes, but in my experience, they _reduce_ the exposure by two stops minimum. If you know what's going on, pls teach me.
