This morning there was a firmware update to the Airport Extremes, and Expresses. (2nd in a few months) This is the first while using Lion, boy it's cool. Now the graphical interface is of a organizational chart, showing the "world" as the internet, a line to the Airport Extreme, then on one of my networks I have 7 Airport Extremes, they are listed exactly as the players in an organizational chart, small icons with lines each going to the base station above them.
Beside those that need to be updated is a small explanation point, in red. If you click on it a small dialogue window pops open telling you the IP address, a note the unit is functioning good, a note that there is an update and a box to click if you want to go deeper into the configuration. The presentation is beautiful and as this update is to enhance performance and coordination with iCloud it affirms the reason I always try to stay with Apple products, they try to make them function the best with their other Apple products, getting the units to work with iCloud with the best performance possible makes the entire user experience the thing that is bringing so many into our camp.
