Steve Jobs talked about the "post-PC" era. As long as M$ (or should that be M¢ now) is still obsessed with the PC approach to personal productivity, they will fade away. On the other hand Apple has been obsessed with how to free its users to be more happy and productive while the folks from Redmond have been just trying to figure out how to lock in their users even more. There are still those around who think that that latter approach is better.
