What I think we should do ,we should ask Lee to make a gallery of all
of us, we never meet anymore in the flesh , from the oldest to the
youngest! I guess that would be a first for any such group . I will
toast to that. i am just now toasting to my dear husband anyhow with a
glass of wine from the Franconia region. So you are all included! Zum
Wohl!

I'll have you know that I am older than ANYone…in my house. Just
tonight my wife and I were helping our Korean foreign exchange
student with her U.S. history and it was depressing how many major
events in the sixties I was alive through, and my wife wasn't.
My fault, I guess. I just HAD to get me one of them "trophy brides!"

WELL, just for the record.....I’ll be 89 in September...had only 3

I might have one on you, I am 86, but I still look pretty good as
does Dayton on that that one the NY Times took of us last year
when they explained in an article the new virtual CARE packages
you could now put together online yourself. I am very glad to have
that picture, since Dayton died since then.

That picture on my book was taken ten or twelve years ago. How
about a recent one?
Anyhow, I am probably as old or older than anyone in this
organization. I joined the navy in 1943 so you can guess at my age.
I hate to tell you this Marta, but you and I are the same age. Here
is picture of me in Japan shortly after the war ended. In all my
recent pictures, I am fatter, and usually drinking beer. Neal
PS: Don't I look like a real war hero? That's a Jap sub in the
background. I was ready to go home and impress the girls.
