Can't help you on the Panasonic, I use Canon BUT in the video market I have a 
Prosumer Panasonic that has been unreal, a fantastic piece of equipment while 
the smaller but still Prosumer JVC has been a dog.  It was top of their line 
and it has not performed well, now shoots blurry clips and have had to stop 
using it but the Panasonic has given me some of the best video's I have ever 
seen.
