I think that is the rate at which they record or speed that they record at.

The ones you already had at home was faster.

Subject: [MacGroup] Blank dvds

I found a box of 25 dvd-r at a yard sale today. I bought a box lot of various
items including the dvds for $15.00.

When I got home I noticed they were 4x compatible. I have a container of 16x
compatible dvd-r's.

Please explain the difference between 4x and 16x. Not sure to what this
designation refers.

Thanks.
